What is a registered agent?

A registered agent is the person or entity designated to accept legal documents, service of process, and official correspondence on behalf of your New Mexico business. They must maintain a physical address in the state and be available from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

Does New Mexico require annual reports?

No. New Mexico does not have an annual report requirement for LLCs or corporations. There is also no franchise tax. Your registered agent is your primary ongoing compliance obligation.

Can my business be its own registered agent?

No. New Mexico does not allow a business entity to serve as its own registered agent. You must designate an individual (NM resident, 18+) or an authorized service.

Can I serve as my own agent?

Yes, if you are a New Mexico resident aged 18 or older with a physical street address available from 9 AM to 5 PM every weekday. The tradeoff: your home address goes on the public record.

How much does your service cost?

$99 per year. Everything included — address, scanning, forwarding, portal, privacy. No setup fee or per-document charges.

What is the fee to change my registered agent?

The state fee varies by entity type: $20 for LLCs, $25 for corporations, $10 for nonprofits. This is paid to the New Mexico Secretary of State, not to us.

What changed in December 2024?

New Mexico made online filing mandatory. Paper submissions are no longer accepted. This applies to all business filings, including registered agent changes.

How fast do you forward documents?

Same business day. We scan everything the day it arrives and deliver it via email and your online portal.

Why is New Mexico considered so business-friendly?

What type of mail will you accept on my behalf?

Our role in New Mexico is straightforward: we receive legal documents so the state can reliably reach your business entity. Service of process, subpoenas, lawsuits, Secretary of State correspondence, tax notices, and compliance reminders — that is what we handle.

General mail at your agent address is forwarded as a courtesy, up to 3 items per year.

Packages are not accepted. Google Maps verification postcards, Amazon verification letters, and third-party verification mailings are also outside our service.
